Electronic and/or Embedded Engineer
EXPERIENCED: 2-4 YEARS
Own a board from blank schematic to the unit humming in the field — including the firmware that has to behave when it's deployed by the thousand, far from your bench. You'll work the seam where hardware, firmware and software meet, on connected devices engineered for dust, heat and harsh conditions, and see your design survive contact with the real world. If hardware that has to work the first time — in units you won't get back — is your idea of a good problem, this is your bench.
The work — You'll take electronics from concept through schematic, PCB, bring-up and firmware to production: connected devices that have to perform reliably once they're out in the field. You'll work the hardware-firmware-software seam, design for manufacturability and the real world, and stay with your product as it scales to thousands deployed.
You'll thrive here if — you want to own a design end to end rather than a slice of it, you respect the discipline of getting it right before it ships, and you'd take a rugged device that runs for years over a prototype that demos well and dies.
Because hardware that ships doesn't get a second first impression.
