Design real hardware and firmware that ends up in the field — the rugged radios, fuel sensors and connected devices that have to keep working through dust, heat, and a long way from the nearest plug. You'll learn by building beside engineers who've taken products from bench to thousands-deployed, explore where your strengths lie across electronics, embedded and software, and watch what you drew on a schematic come alive in the real world. Few places let you follow a board that far, that early.

The work — You'll begin with a structured grounding, then join a team designing real electronics — schematics, PCBs, firmware — under engineers who've shipped devices that run today. You'll explore across electronics, embedded and software in your first year, get hands-on in the lab early, and follow a design from first sketch toward something built, tested and deployed.

 

You'll thrive here if — you've always wanted to know what's inside the box and make it better, you like problems you can measure on an oscilloscope as much as on a screen, and you want to build physical things that work in the real world — in Pretoria, in person, beside people who'll teach you.

There's a difference between studying electronics and building the thing that has to work in the field.
